About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, our Defence and Social Infrastructure division have a position for a National Transformation Manager to lead the digital strategy and execution for Defence focusing on Digital Transformation, Innovation, PMO, Change Management, Customer Experience and Service Delivery while collaborating with Group to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
The role is based out of Cremorne, Victoria offering hybrid working and interstate travel is expected on a regular basis. Although Cremorne is the preferred location, we are open to applications from all major states in Australia.
Other Role Responsibilities:
- Develop plans to operationalise the digital strategy for Defence.
- Provide oversight and governance for management of digital transformation, innovation, PMO, Change Management, Customer Experience and Service Delivery programs within Defence
- Drive customer facing innovation through the delivery of digital strategies that redefine Ventia’s service delivery to our client
- Conduct continuous monitoring and periodic review of operational & financial performance of all projects under scope
- Develop activity and resource planning processes to ensure setting of realistic time / budget estimates
- Drive optimal utilisation of systems and resource sharing across the Defence Portfolio
- Embed a robust Project Management Framework through the Defence business
- Support internal quality and security processes
- Responsible for supporting the bid process and negotiations, in conjunction with GM BD & GM Pre Contracts
- Work with the project directors / managers to identify areas of continuous improvement and operational excellence (e.g. technology / innovation to improve processes) and prioritise & resource to implement
About you
To be considered for this role, you will have qualifications and/or experience in a similar role accompanied with:
- Possesses subject matter expertise in large-scale Defence project management, execution and operational excellence
- Experience in software systems integration and implementation
- Strong technical expertise in Defence ops, asset and facilities management
- Experience in managing a geographically disparate project portfolio
- Strongly geared towards value creation & growth
- Experience in business development processes including tender process and high-impact, long-term negotiations
- Excellent relationship management and engagement with senior strategic clients
- Experience in managing large, geographically dispersed teams
- Adept at facilitating opportunities to share knowledge and best practices
