Project Engineer / Works Lead

About the Role
The primary purpose of the Project Engineer / Works Lead is to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes across all SOWs within the Telstra SITE portfolio through the management of subcontractors in a healthy and safe work environment.

The role will be responsible for delivery of work within the nominated region delivering projects across SITE SOWs to achieve commercial outcomes for Ventia.

Key Accountabilities:

• Achieve Project delivery KPIs as defined in the SOWs
• Continuously oversee production performance against schedule
• Contribute to Ventia’s financial performance through appropriate business acumen and decision making
• Monitoring performance and quality, taking appropriate correct action where necessary
• Assessing activities, ensuring a balance between cost and production to meet objectives and time constrictions
• Coordinating project work, ensuring compliance with the company’s and work and safety standards
• Monitoring subcontractors and workforce’s performance to ensure project plans and milestones are met within budget
• Reporting daily site events on a timely basis • Measuring and reporting on progress against key KPI’s / SLA’s
• Ensuring all staff including sub-contractors are trained, around emergency procedures, SH&E standards and equipment by inductions, legislation and safe operating of work.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with an Engineering qualification.

You will also possess:

• Previous maintenance or construction experience ideally in the Telecommunications industry
• A sound understanding of the operations and maintenance environment in telecommunications or a technical service industry
• Understanding of Compliance requirements of buildings
• Experience in engaging and influencing stakeholders at all decision levels
