Senior Project Engineer

Drive on-time delivery of the ODM program through planning, resourcing, directing project and subcontracting resources whilst delivering suitable commercial, financial and safety outcomes.

Program:

•    Monitor key construction milestones to identify and mitigate program risk, ensuring accurate information is being captured in VPL work management system
•    Balancing of resources across programmes  
•    Facilitate tailoring of Work Management System to accommodate multiple projects types across DCMA/BDOD programs of work.
•    Create and maintain project baseline timeframes to suit contractual obligations
•    Work with logistics specialist in order to forecast material requirements and ensure risks associated with material availability are identified and mitigated
•    Attend regular meetings with client to raise and discuss issues around project delivery and provide updates on projects as required
•    Provide 3rd level client escalation function.

Finance:
•    Maximise revenue through thorough understanding of the client contract
•    Review and validate claims to client ensuring variations from subcontractors are valid and passed on to client where possible
•    Preparation and analysis of financial data for monthly reporting within the business
•    Analysis of project PNL to identify action required to improve financial performance

SHEQ:
•    Perform regular SHEQ site audits, contribute to investigations, recommendations and culture

Process:
•    Create processes, workflows and team interactions on new programmes of work
•    Continuous review of internal processes and implementation improvement for the wider team

Sub-Contractor Interfacing:
•    Procure subcontractors from EOI up to operational onboarding and monitor progress
•    Review resource requirements and action accordingly inclusive of procurement
•    Participate in sub-contractor briefings, such as Tool box sessions  

Continuous Improvement:
•    Helping to create and support a climate that encourages innovation and receptivity to change
•    Analyse project metrics and recommend change for increased efficiency
•    Perform duties as directed by the line manager
