With over 35 years’ experience working with Defence and with the recently awarded 6-year Firefighting Services contract, 2024 is an exciting time to join Ventia.  In support of this newly awarded contract, Ventia are seeking a Training & Learning Manager to join their global and diverse organisation.


About the role

 

Based in Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth this role will see you overseeing the training function across the Firefighting Services contract, ensuring training is built and delivered to a high standard of quality that enhances contract delivery and compliance.  

 

This position is primarily responsible for:

  • Work with key executive stakeholders to identify and assess training needs to build and enhance employees’ skills and performance.
  • Establish consistent systems, processes and governance to support the overall management of training for Defence. 
  • Standardise Training Systems and processes to generate efficiency across all aspects of training. 
  • Develop Reporting and Analytics tools to standardise training and reporting across Defence.
  • Develop a Strategic Training Plan to support the future growth of the contract.
  • Monitor quality of training and training vendors to ensure best value and service quality is maintained.

About you: 

 

  • Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
  • Diploma of Training Design and Development.
  • Relevant leadership and management competencies and/or experience.
  • Experience with the national training systems and training delivery within a regulated quality framework.
  • Experience analysing and evaluating training needs, assessment outcomes and process effectiveness.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement including coaching and mentoring people performance. 

 

You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance to Apply.
