About the role


Working on a 14 day on, 7 day off roster, the Guest Experience Manager position plays a vital role in the successful running of daily village operations. As part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for facilities management, maintenance, catering and accommodation services to the Anglo American Villages.


Receiving ongoing support from Ventia Services Managers you will ensure the highest quality of work is maintained across 2 villages of nearly 900 rooms with an additional 80+ houses and as well as plant and equipment. This critical role will be responsible for continuing Ventia’s collaborative, encouraging and hardworking environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate the development & implementation of village service strategies & action plans
  • Manage recruitment & employee rosters to ensure service requirements are achieved & operational mining planned variances are accommodated
  • Lead, conduct and/or participate in incident and non-conformance investigations audits, reports & follow-up actions
  • Conduct OHS Toolbox Talks, meetings and Pre-starts to meet Ventia and client expectations
  • Daily site visits to both villages to oversee regular workplace inspections
  • Develop initiatives, concepts and ideas which continually supports driving a culture of delivering above & beyond customer & client expectations
  • Manage people matters in conjunction with support from the HR/P&C team
  • Foster & maintain a strong rapport with Ventia & Anglo-American employees & managers at all levels


About you

  • Experience in Village Management or Hotel/Motel/Resort management or hospitality and catering
  • Skilled communicator, proven people management, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to forecast & manage budgets
  • Ability to adapt under changing conditions
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check
