We are seeking a Team Leader to join our team of skilled, talented and passionate horticulturalists, and landscapers. You will work with a Trades Assistant and be responsible for maintaining and creating some of the most beautiful parks and greenspaces across Auckland.

About the Role

The role is very diverse and will primarily be responding to a variety of requests. In addition, it may include general garden maintenance including planting pruning, fertilizing, mulching, streetscaping and watering, removal of pest plants.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Maintain vegetation along footpaths, walkways and tracks
Maintaining trees up to three metres (pruning, staking)
Assisting Gardening teams with Planting and Mulching
General clean-up of Garden and park areas including Removal of pest plants weeding, trimming and spraying weeds (occasional work)

About You

• Previous experience in gardening/horticulture a must
• Have a passion for working outdoors and love to see the fruits of your labour

•   Are committed to providing the absolute best quality workmanship for our customers
•   Have a class one driver’s license
•   Must be physically fit
•   Reliable and always on time for work.
•   Comfortable leading and support team members.
•   We won’t budge on safety therefore we need someone who is health and safety conscious
•   Willing to embrace change and new possibilities
