Ventia are seeking an Area Cleaning Supervisor to join our diverse team. The role will involve frequent travel throughout an allocated geographical region in Newcastle / Central Coast. Ventia’s NSW Schools contract delivers quality Cleaning Services in Public Schools and Government facilities across Newcastle and Central Coast.
 
This is a full-time, permanent position with varying shift times and the opportunity for over-time on weekends. The position offers $90,000 TFR plus a company vehicle.

Key duties:

•    Set goals and objectives with operational staff to ensure that all work schedules are adhered to, and assist when and where required, to achieve service delivery standards.
•    Ensuring all sites are compliant in relation to site documentation, equipment, chemicals, and consumables to achieve contractual compliance.
•    Promoting and monitoring safe work practices.

•    Monitoring of staff performance some retraining of staff. 

•    Perform inspections of cleaning standards and report writing.
•    Communicate effectively with Clients/Customers and staff on issues pertaining to service delivery, operational issues, project progress and continual Improvement.
•    Payroll duties.

 

Could you be our next Cleaning Supervisor?
The successful applicant will have proven supervisory experience, preferably in a facilities management or cleaning environment. 


•    Resilient and capable of supervising cleaners across all shift times.
•    Reliable, dedicated and passionate in promoting a positive work culture.
•    An ability to lead, motivate, and influence your staff members to deliver excellent results.
•    Strong time management and multitasking skills.
•    Demonstrated decision making abilities combined with a developed level of innovative thinking. 
•    Experience with Microsoft programs, excel, outlook, etc.

Please note that as part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol test) and be able to obtain a police and Working With Children Clearance (WWCC).
