Estimator

Ventia are seeking an Estimator to join their team working across the Sydney and Western Harbour Tunnel contracts. The successful applicant will be offered a full-time permanent position based in North Sydney. After twelve months, the successful applicant will be given the opportunity to move across the business and gain experience in another sector.

The Estimator will be required to support the Asset Management Cost Engineer in the development of estimates for maintenance, lifecycle and major repair and replacement work of the fully developed designs for the Western Harbour Tunnel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and update Technical Maintenance Plans and Asset Management plans for existing assets or develop these for new assets
• Obtain supporting evidence to back up the estimate values
• Identify, qualify and document risks around each element of the estimate
• Provide input to and support for the Gate review process to obtain internal approval to submit the estimate to TfNSW & assist and respond to any enquiries
• Provide input into executive level presentation of estimate cost assessment and substantiation

About You

• Previous experience in estimating, particularly in the construction industry
• Tertiary qualification in engineering, business or finance
• Experience using Computer Aided Tendering System (CATS) and excel
• Ability to engage with SMEs and prepare presentations to clients and internal stakeholders
