About the role:  
 
As our Project Procurement Manager you will plan and manage the execution of project procurement activities as it relates to individual winning work bids, mobilisation and demobilisation projects.

 

The role will drive procurement excellence by providing proactive service, delivering accountability and strict alignment with enterprise wide strategic goals and objectives.
 
Flexible on office location with options to base from any of our Australian state head offices. Preference for Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane however open for the right applicant.
 
What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Develop and manage project procurement plans to ensure value for money, compliance and high levels of service.
  • Determine and develop the Governance tools that will be used on individual projects. In particular Procurement registers to capture status of activity and transparency of progress working closely with our bid teams.
  • Ensure strict alignment of individual projects with group supply chain strategy and other stakeholders within category management and enablement teams.
  • Develop and implement the plan for supplier identification and mapping.
  • Be the primary lead of group supply chain interface into bid/mobilisation teams coordinating activity.
  • Develop and deliver strategic goals for the project procurement plan relating to go to market, solution development aligning to bid timelines and mobilisation and demobilisation plans.

 
About you:
 

  • Degree qualified within a relevant discipline, business, commercial or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience with project procurement within a complex environment managing supplier contracts and compliance.
  • Analytical individual with understanding of financial principles relating to contracts enabling effective cost management and analysis. 
  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills both written and verbal able to partner with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed knowledge of regulations, policies and governing contracts and procurement activities. Ability to lead complex negotiations and improve supplier performance.
  • Exposure to change management and ability to align project procurement strategies to organisation goals.
  • High level of commercial acumen, championing a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, extracting value by developing market innovations with key strategic partners.
