Senior Developer - SAP BTP

About the Role:

Located in North Sydney NSW – the SAP BTP Senior Developer role and as a member of the Web Applications Product team within the broader Cloud Application Program, you will be responsible for delivering on aspects of application and service development, implementation, release testing and management, and general support of the custom-built application solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry), both in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Work on SAP UI5/Fiori, SAP CAP, and In-App Extensions.
• Work collaboratively across custom cloud applications to ensure system development is achieved in line with deployment timeframes and product release schedules 
• Support the existing applications, recommend viable solutions and focus on new cutting-edge technology developments
• Deploy code and configuration releases into test and production environments and ensure testing is carried out in accordance with set requirements with errors reported and rectified
• Provide superior technical guidance on solutions and continuous improvement and integration together with system stabilisation
• Work with senior development resources to identify and address operational bottlenecks in support procedures
• Ensure work is delivered in line with local procedure and multiple deployment schedules for the applications deployment
• Assist deployment teams with triage and resolution of application related issues
• Contribute and actively develop supporting documentation and operating procedures
• Participation in on-call roster for the application solution where required

Key Skills and Experience of the ideal candidate:

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying custom SAP applications using SAP BTP Cloud Foundry, SAP Build Workzone, SAP CAP, XSA, NodeJS, Java Script, SAP Workflow Developments.
• Strong understanding of cloud architectural patterns, security considerations, and best practices for SAP UI5 applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and client-aligned deliverables.
• Conduct periodic peer code reviews, ensuring application quality and continuous improvement based on feedback.
• Ability to manage large-scale transformations and implementations effectively.
• Tertiary qualification in related field preferred
• Experience in an IT release and IT environment management
• Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in integrated development and test environments.
• Monitoring and visualisation experience
• Intermediate understanding of databases, SQL, data models and basic data reporting
