About the role:

 

Reporting to the General Manager of Ventia Group Supply Chain this role will act as a key member of our leadership team. 

 

The Strategic Partner Relationship Manager will play a critical role in managing and optimising relationships with strategic partners and suppliers and be essential for ensuring supplier performance, drive value creation and alignment with Ventia business goals.

 

This position offers hybrid working, with work from home and time in our beautiful Corporate North Sydney Head office, however we are flexible on location so options to base out of Melbourne and Brisbane are also a possibility for the right applicant.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Development and implementation of supplier relationship management strategies to enhance performance, cost savings, foster innovation and achieve sustainable solutions for customers (as well as mutual benefits for Ventia).
  • Conduct analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks informing strategic supplier decisions and long term planning.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of specialists providing guidance and support to achieve business goals and alignment with category strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams fostering collaboration, driving work winning activities and enhancing decision making and supplier value.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts securing favourable terms and conditions for all parties.
  • Drive continuous improvement, measure and monitor supplier performance to achieve efficiency and effectiveness with implementation of best practice solutions.
     

About you:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Commercial or related field with demonstrated experience in supplier relationship management or commercial management.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing successful supplier management strategies with excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, strategic partners in a fast paced complex business environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills with an analytical mindset and well developed problem solving skills.
