About the Role:

Located in North Sydney NSW – the Treasury Analyst role will play a vital part in safeguarding the company's financial health by overseeing cash flow, managing risk exposures, and contributing to strategic financial decisions. You will support the treasury team in developing and implementing strategies that optimize liquidity, manage debt, and ensure the company's financial stability.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily liquidity management, including but not limited to always ensuring appropriate levels of cash, liquidity, reporting and effective hedge positions.
  • Prepare and analyse 13-week Cashflow forecast.
  • Manage transactional banking operations inclusive of accounts, signatories, user access and functionality, corporate card facilities, travelcard facilities, merchant terminals and other treasury operations such as bank liaison.
  • Support the maintenance of multiple online banking platforms and security administration across the separate systems.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations on treasury activities for senior management.
  • Reconcile and process interest and other treasury related fees in a timely manager ensuring correct Profit & Loss allocation and on time payment.
  • Support the preparation of the treasury risk and compliance section of the Group Business Report.
  • Prepare information for internal and external auditors for compliance.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline treasury operations.
  • Assist with the end-to-end management of financial and performance guarantees, and letters of credit.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant financial regulations and industry best practices.
  • Support the Treasurer with various ad-hoc projects and financial analysis.



Key Skills and Experience of the ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, commerce, economics, or a related discipline (CA or CPA preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a treasury role or similar financial function.
  • Developed understanding of financial markets, risk management principles, and accounting practices.
  • Developed analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial modelling tools (Excel preferred).
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) a strong asset.
