Stores Attendant

Ventia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stores Attendant / Warehouse Operator / Stock Controller, based at our Defence site in Albatross, Nowra. This role is perfect for someone with a customer centric, can-do attitude, who is looking for a career change. Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, you will be a vital member of our stores and warehousing team providing clothing stores advice and assistance to Defence personnel, as well as keeping the stores functioning with stock replenishment and management.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering $26.37 per hour.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working in both front and back end carrying out warehousing and customer service duties
• Receipt and delivery of goods
• Help Defence personel by assisting with outfitting and kitting of clothing. 
• Organising and controlling the day-to-day workflow - receiving, scanning, sorting, and placing incoming goods on shelves.
• Answering customer queries regarding stock location and progress.
• Over the counter customer service.
• Assisting with regular stock takes and cleaning of work site.
• Operating computer systems to obtain details of stock quantity and location.
• Use of a walk behind Forklift

What we are looking for:

• Relevant experience in a retail customer service environment.
• Experience in warehousing highly regarded.
• A 'hands-on' proactive and customer focussed attitude.
• Excellent communication skills
