Exciting time to join Ventia and become a part of our team as our next SHEQ Advisor! You'll serve as the primary liaison between the SHEQ Manager, operational teams, and clients, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The role is to support the Telstra portfolio of projects in NSW which would include includes regular site visits to assess safety performance and client-facing interactions to provide updates on SHEQ initiatives. You'll drive positive change and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within Ventia's workforce.

About the Role

The responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:

  • Participation on HSE consultative committees and maintain key client relationships to a high standard
  • Working collaboratively across the contract, implement the Health and Safety management plans, emergency response and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure Ventia SHEQ standards are incorporated into the workplace.
  • Implement the project Health and Safety objectives by conducting thorough site inspections and accurately recording the findings.
  • Monitor & report on quality of works via audits, review non-conformances and take corrective action to ensure prompt closure
  • Conducting investigations into incidents and accidents to determine root causes and contributing factors
  • Lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations and drive learnings into the site and wider business as required.
  • Undertake reasonable travel throughout NSW as required

 

About You

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Proven work experience in WHS, environmental and or quality role, preferably within services maintenance or construction
  • Qualification in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Health, Environmental or Quality Equivalent
  • Formal training in incident investigation (ICAM preferred)
  • Training in Environment and/or Quality management systems
  • Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards within a high risk construction environment
