Ventia is on the hunt for a multi-skilled, motivated, and resilient individual to join our Incident Response Crew as a Network Steward on the iconic Transmission Gully motorway.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Network Steward, you’ll be one of the first on the scene—responding to anything from minor incidents to major emergencies. Whether it’s clearing debris, assisting with breakdowns, or helping manage crash sites, you’ll be making a real difference, every single shift.

You’ll also help keep the motorway running smoothly with essential maintenance tasks like:

• Minor road and barrier repairs
• Fence and track upkeep
• Graffiti removal and vegetation control
• Drainage, litter, and debris clearing
• Traffic management, including mobile and static lane closures
• Driving and operating traffic control vehicles and gear
• Planned and emergency response support

ABOUT YOU

This role suits someone who thrives under pressure, works well in a team, and stays cool when the heat is on.

You'll need:

• A Class 2 NZ Driver’s Licence is required
• Ideally, an STMS qualification
• A strong focus on health and safety
• Solid communication and people skills
• Physical fitness – this is an active, hands-on role!
• Willingness to work on a 4-on, 4-off rotating shift (day and night shifts included
