In support of this growth, Ventia are inviting expressions of interest for Finance Business Manager to join their global and diverse organisation. 


About the role


As a pivotal member of the contract leadership team, you will be responsible for the governance, management, and day to day leadership of finance processes required to support operations to achieve our objectives and those of our clients. You will also be a key contributor to commercial and business processes. You will work closely with the business to foster a financially aware and client focused culture.

  • You will supply accurate data to the Contract Director and ensure that the project delivery is comprehensive and aligned with the contract requirements. You will support the operational team with the identification and mitigation of risks or realisation of opportunities.  
  • You will perform insightful analyses to monitor and optimise the performance of the project against financial targets, including revenue, margin, working capital and cash. You will lead key reporting processes for the project, including monthly performance reviews (variance analysis), monthly and quarterly forecasting, and annual budget setting.   
  • You will manage a team to provide finance and administrative support, including but not limited to procurement, payroll, work order administration and client billing.

To be successful in the role of Finance Manager, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Proven experience within an operational accounting environment, including experience with performance (variance) analysis and forecasting. 
  • General business understanding and commercial awareness.
  • Microsoft Suite experience – Word, Excel etc.
  • SAP and Power BI knowledge and experience desirable.
  • Experience in working capital and cash flow management.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage with senior client personnel, management, and all levels of the project delivery team.
