HVAC Technician

The Role:
Ventia is seeking to engage a qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to be part of their close-knit Defence Team based at RAAF Base Pearce in Bullsbrook, WA. As part of the Estate Upkeep team, the successful applicant will effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of facilities and equipment, including HVAC.

This position is a full-time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00am – 03:30pm (with overtime opportunities) with 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base each day.

The payrate for this position is $41.48 per hour.

To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Key duties, but not limited to: 

• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems
• Contribute to overall site maintenance
• Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance and testing as required via Mobility (iPad)
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services promptly and efficiently
• Ensure inspection results are recorded online with objective quality evidence standards
• Provide flexibility to meet the demands of out of hours and call out work as required

Skills & Experience:

• WA Driver’s License
• Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Refrigerant Handling License
• Experience in a HVAC role across residential, commercial and industrial work environments
• Willingness to travel occasionally to the different metro & remote defence sites as required
