Instrumentation Electrician

 

Shutdown dates/Information: 

  • Main shutdown – Commences on the 11th of July circa 4 weeks (12-hour days)
  • FIFO from Perth only as inductions/training required prior to commencement

About Ventia:  

Ventia is seeking experienced & qualified Instrumentation Electricians. This casual role will see you engaged on periodic Campaign maintenance, grouped/batched maintenance programs, as well as completing both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance. The casual position will see you working FIFO out of Perth as part of the initial Barrow Island team and partake in future LNG works as opportunities arise to join future shutdowns.   

 

What you’ll need: 

 

Essential  

  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Instrumentation 
  • WA unrestricted licence 
  • White card  
  • EEHA valid within 3 years 
  • CPR/LVR valid within 1 year 

 

Desirable 

  • Provide first aid  
  • Industry Safety Induction  
  • High Voltage Operation  

 

What you will bring: 

  • Experience in maintenance and fault finding activities 
  • Knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems and associated hazards 
  • Experience in calibration, isolation and stroking valves   
  • Understanding of gas compression and power generation systems  
  • Experience maintaining and operating critical instrumentation  
  • Strong interpersonal skills  and the ability to work within a team environment 
  • Safety – first mindset following safety protocols and hazard procedures
