About the Contract  

Are you an experienced QA/QC SMP Specialist looking for an exciting opportunity? Ventia, as part of our long-term LNG maintenance contract, is seeking a structural mechanical & piping (SMP) specialist with a background in Oil & Gas operational maintenance to join our dynamic team. This casual position will see you engaged on the LNG Barrow Island shutdown where multiple trades will be servicing preventative, corrective and project brownfields maintenance.  

About the Role  

Your main responsibilities as the QA/QC SMP Specialist is to lead a small team of inspectors and to provide QA/QC oversight to all SMP related work packages.  

As the QA/QC SMP Specialist you will work coherently with engineering, production, and the maintenance teams carrying out QA/QC reviews, providing technical advice and supporting relevant teams with SMP queries.  

Ventia is seeking a highly advanced QA/QC SMP Specialist to join the Ventia TAR team.   

Qualifications | Experience  

• Hold a relevant Trade certificate  
• Previous SMP QA/QC experience, within oil and gas is preferred  
• Experience with Bolting scopes, Torque and Tensioning. 
• Experience and knowledge of relevant standards.  
• Excellent written and verbal communication. 
• 'C' class driver's license   

Requirements:  

• Responsible to lead a small team of SMP inspectors. 
• Responsible for all QA/QC of all SMP related scopes. 
• Responsible for SMP related ITR QA/QC review. 
• Responsible for review of SMP vendor QA/QC documentation.  
• Support TAR QA lead with NCR details and requirements where necessary.  
• Ensure accurate standards, procedures and specifications adhered to.
