Safety Advisor – Rigs & Wells | Barrow Island, WA

Ventia’s Rigs & Wells division is seeking experienced and self-motivated Safety Advisors to join our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) team. This client-facing role is pivotal to supporting our land rig workover activities on Barrow Island, WA, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a culture that puts safety and health above all else.

You’ll be part of a team that achieves more together, builds strong relationships across all levels, and brings the best of Ventia to our clients and communities. This is a casual ongoing position working a 2:2 roster with 12-hour shifts. Flights from Perth, accommodation, meals, PPE, and a company vehicle for work-related travel are all provided.

Pay rate: $659.00 – $900.00 per day (flat rate incl. casual loading, based on experience)

Your Role Will Include:
•    Building strong relationships with stakeholders and field safety leads
•    Facilitating transparent reviews of operational risks with the SHEQ Manager
•    Conducting audits and inspections aligned with assurance plans
•    Leading and reviewing training initiatives to ensure compliance and effectiveness
•    Supporting rig crews in risk assessments and control implementation
•    Delivering weekly safety meetings and SHEQ reports
•    Investigating incidents using ICAM & Taproot methodologies
•    Developing and implementing SHEQ procedures that reflect enterprise-first thinking

What You’ll Bring:
•    Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety
•    Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
•    Safety Auditor accreditation (highly regarded)
•    Proven experience in field-based safety advisory roles
•    Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
•    A commitment to doing what’s right, speaking up, and leading the way in safety and security
•    A current Driver’s Licence
