SHEQ Advisor – WA Transport Team
$150,000 (inclusive of superannuation) + Site Uplift
 

Ventia is looking for an experienced SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Advisor to join our WA Transport Team. This full-time, permanent role is a 2:1 FIFO position supporting our Transport and Civil projects across Western Australia.

Your Role:
As the SHEQ Advisor, you will be a key safety leader on our Transport and Civil projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved, while promoting a strong culture of safety throughout the projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Safety Management Plans and ensure alignment with client-specific requirements
• Monitor and maintain compliance with SHEQ legislation, industry standards, and ISO standards
• Provide regular updates on safety and health legislation changes, organisational practices, and risk assessments
• Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure safety standards are adhered to
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks
• Provide safety coaching and training to workers and subcontractors
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
• Proven experience as a safety professional, with a focus on SHEQ in transport, civil, or construction projects
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders
• Ability to work in a FIFO environment and adapt to remote site conditions
