About the Contract
Are you an experienced Welding Inspector looking for an exciting opportunity? Ventia, as part of our long-term LNG maintenance contract, is seeking Welding Inspectors with a background in Oil & Gas operational maintenance to join our dynamic team. This casual position will see you engaged on the LNG Barrow Island shutdown where multiple trades will be servicing preventative, corrective and project brownfields maintenance.
About the Role
Your main responsibilities as the Welding Inspector are to provide QA/QC verification to all associated welding work packs and to provide technical advice across the shutdown through inspections and liaison with on-site field supervisions staff.

Qualifications
-
Welding Inspection - CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent
-
CIWS – Certified International Welding Specialist (Preferred)
-
Work Safely at Heights (3-year validity)
-
Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (3-year validity)

'C' class driver's license
Requirements | Experience
-
Responsible for all QA/QC of all welding related work packs.

Responsible for conducting all required field inspections as per approved ITPs.

Conduct in-field welding related ITP reviews.

Provide guidance on relevant statutory, code and specification requirements for all welding scopes of work.

Responsible for review of vendor welding documentation, where required (i.e. NDT etc).

Responsible for supporting welding QC personnel across the team with SME input.

Ability to navigate operator work-packing systems efficiently.

Experience with reading engineering drawings and standards.

Excellent attitude towards Quality & HSE.
