The Role
Ventia are seeking applications for a Technician to join our Telecommunications team. Reporting to the Construction Supervisor, this role will see you primarily based in the field, working on remote areas across regional WA.


In this position you will be responsible for installation and assembly of steel frames, electrical infrastructure, solar array framework and civil works at various sites across WA. You will need to have a strong understanding and knowledge of construction drawings and be proactive and adaptable to alterations in the field.


This is a fulltime permanent role working on a rotating roster of 11days on, 3days off and then 10days on and 4days off.


The payrate for this position is $43.00 per hour.

Key duties, but not limited to:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Install metal frames and racking in accordance with instructions
  • Install electrical infrastructure, including wiring and cabling
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation
  • Perform quality checks to ensure work meets industry standards and specifications
  • Communicate with team members and management to ensure project deadlines are met


Requirements:

  • Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) Licence – Highly regarded
  • Proven experience in mechanical installation or related field
  • Experience as a Boilermaker or in a construction, concreting or welding role – Highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment 
  • Organised with good communication skills and ability to plan ahead and convey supply needs
