The Role 
Ventia has been engaged to provide hard and soft facilities management services including village maintenance, accommodation and the management of an aerodrome facility at the village mine site located in the Pilbara region.  

Reporting into the Village Manager, the Housekeeping Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping operations in the accommodation facilities provide for residents working on the mine site. 

This includes maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and ensuring the overall comfort for residents. 

Key areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Supervising a team of housekeeping staff, whilst ensuring they follow proper cleaning practices and safety procedures
• Train, mentor and support the cleaning utilities teams
• Coordinate and schedule cleaning activities, inspect rooms and common areas to ensure they meet the required standards
• Address any maintenance or cleanliness issues in a timeous manner and report these to the facilities manager
• Ensuring optimisation in stock rotation and control of cleaning chemicals and linen 
• Fostering a one team culture of hospitality and excellence in service delivery
• Demonstrating leadership in the day-to-day running of housekeeping duties 
• Creating a safe and comfortable living environment for employees on the mine site, contributing to their well-being and overall satisfaction 
• Demonstrating Computer literate and have basic report writing skills

About you 

• Previous experience leading a housekeeping / mine stie cleaning services team, preferably in a remote location
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of housekeepers
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence staff 
• Unrestricted Australian work Rights
• Current, valid driver’s License

• Ability to pass a pre-employment full-functional medical including drug and alcohol testing
