Trade Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join our fun, collaborative, and hardworking team based at our Defence site in Pinkenba! The Trade Assistant will work a 38-hour week and may be required to work flexible hours occasionally to meet demands.      
About the role
The Trade Assistant is responsible for the assistance of maintenance activities on a vast range of exciting equipment fleets currently used by Defence.

• Physical labour, manual handling, moving materials and other ad-hoc tasks around the site.
• Preparing site & Site clean-up.
• Assisting with the preparation of tools for tradesmen.  
• Using hand tools and power tools. 

 
 About you

• 1 Year- mechanical/electrical Trade Assistance experience preferred.
• Construction White Card. 
• A commitment to OH&S practices.  
• Moderate verbal communication skills.  
• Current Driver's License and Fork Lift License.
• You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain a Defence security clearance.
