Bar Attendant

Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.

In collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, we are seeking a dedicated Bar Attendant to join our team at RAAF Base East Sale. This part-time role offers 21 hours per week, with evening shifts on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of RAAF East Sale in Victoria’s Gippsland region, located in the southeast suburbs of Melbourne.

While your primary responsibility will be bar service, including managing and maintaining the bar, you may also be required to assist in the mess halls with food service and other duties as needed.

About the Role

• Drink Preparation and Service: Mixing and serving beverages to patrons.
• Customer Service: Providing exceptional service to military personnel and guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Cash Handling: Processing payments accurately, operating cash registers, and maintaining financial accountability.
• Bar Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining the bar area, including washing glassware and ensuring equipment is in good condition.
• Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels, replenishing supplies, and assisting with inventory control.
• Compliance: Adhering to all relevant regulations, including Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
• Support the other Hospitality and Catering team where needed outside the bar including food service and assisting in the mess hall

About You

• Must have current VIC Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
• Previous experience in a bar is preferential
• Hygiene for Food Handlers Certificate (training available on site)
• Excellent customer service experience and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Works well in a team, reliable
• You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
