Trade Assistant - Defence

A great opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at South Guildford WA, located east of Perth.  

The Trade Assistant is responsible for the assistance of maintenance activities including tyre fitting on a vast range of exciting Defence vessels, vehicles and assets.

• Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays

About the role   

• Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshop 

• Assisting in maintenance and storeroom tasks 

• Maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly manner 

• Operating plant and equipment where qualified and licenced to do so 

   
About you   

• Hold a current Driver’s License (C class, manual, open) 

• Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervision 

• Additional experience would also be highly desirable; 

• Tyre fitting experience 

• High Risk Work license with competencies in Forklift 

• Computer Literacy using Microsoft office products (especially Excel) 

• You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
