Project Administrator

Ventia is looking for a detail-orientated and proactive Project Administrator (Finance) to join their Transport Finance team. This is a pivotal role supporting large scale infrastructure projects by managing financial operations and subcontractor relationships. You will work closely with engineers, supervisors and commercial teams to ensure smooth financial administration across the contract.

Key Responsibilities
This is a diverse and fast paced role, where you will need to be initiative-taking with strong determination to deliver outcomes. You will travel to local project sites and engage with the field crews to ensure you have a thorough knowledge of the project and requirements.
- Subcontractor management – handle monthly claims, resolve payment issues and maintain vendor relationships
- Month end consolidation – prepare accruals, reconcile claims and allocate costs accurately
- Accounts payable and receivable – process invoices, manage claims and ensure timely payments
- Payroll support – assist with payroll processing and cost/sell rate systems
- General administration – maintain documentation, manage mailboxes and support procurement processes
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in project finance, construction or transport sectors
- Strong understanding of accruals, procurement systems and subcontractor management
- Proficiency in SAP (highly regarded), Microsoft Excel and Office 365
- Excellent time management, communication and ability to work autonomously
- An adaptive learner with a collaborative mindset
