Financial Accountant

Ventia is seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team based in North Sydney offering a hybrid working model. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting, particularly in managing fixed assets, capital expenditure, and overheads. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business, including Sector CFOs and Profit Centre Owners, to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the fixed asset register, capital expenditure tracking, and related reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting for CAPEX and corporate overheads.
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Support month-end close processes, audit queries, and financial reporting requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices in financial operations.
About You
- CA/CPA qualified (preferred) with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Demonstrated experience in financial accounting, audit and analysis.
- Experience in large or complex organisations with high-volume transactions.
- Strong SAP skills (preferred).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to present, question, and influence at all levels.
