We’re seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to foster an integrated approach to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) management and deliver legal and business requirements. We are flexible with where this role is based but ideally Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne.

What you will be doing:

  • Inform and implement Safety Management Plans across the portfolio.
  • Travel will be required across Australia and NZ approximately once a month.
  • Adhere with legislation, regulations, and standards and that all activities on the project are undertaken in a safe manner, and with the application of suitable frameworks and documentation.
  • Undertake investigations in relation to safety related incidents or issues and provide recommendations.
  • Implementing processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures including fostering a culture of ‘safety and health above all else.’
  • Ensuring risk assessments and risk registers are maintained and all records are managed.
  • Develop and deliver safety related training when required including new starter induction, toolbox talks and prestart meetings as required.


About you:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/ Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality Equivalent.
  • Formal training in incident investigation preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and consult to deliver strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work autonomously and build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
