NSW Area Manager (Facilities Management)

Ventia’s Telecommunications team is seeking an experienced NSW Area Manager (Facilities Management) to support operations across NSW. You will will be responsible to manage the execution of approved asset management plans and operational practices to provide reliable and predictable network performance for the designated portfolio of Network assets.

About The Role

This role is primarily focused on operational delivery, ensuring consistent and reliable execution against plans. You will manage risk controls, incidents, and tenant or client issues in line with established processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage allocated field teams and contractors to deliver scheduled works across Telstra sites in NSW and update system accordingly
• Supporting the workforce and the Facilities & Network Services Projects team in managing construction activities 
• Oversee site inspections, contingency planning, operational handovers, and quality assurance.
• Act as Facility Manager, recommending and assessing upgrades to improve network integrity and assess the feasibility of such options; (Defects identified at the site) 
• Investigate, advise and manage all incidents and restore to normal site conditions from plant equipment, the performance of the network and other facilities equipment, and safety 
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and client representatives with regular formal meetings.

About You

• Demonstrated experience within a Telstra network is and/or in a ticket-of-work environment desired  and using Telstra systems
• Ideally, you’ll have a trade background or qualification in electrical/mechanical
• Facilities management or building management experience is highly regarded
• Effective client relationship management with operational stakeholders, supported by strong communication skills
