Regional Manager

Reporting to the Environmental Monitoring Manager, we are seeking a Regional Manager to provide leadership and direction in the delivery of a range of environmental monitoring projects.

This permanent full-time role will primarily involve managing teams based at the Tatura and Mildura offices, project requirements, reporting, financial control and establishing new relationships with clients and effectively maintaining existing relationships.

The role will be a mix of office-based with some field work from time to time to support the environmental monitoring tasks being conducted, with travel requirements to support remote projects.

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for health and safety of employees and self through education, training and demonstration of the right behaviours.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the business through proactive management of the employees, procedures and processes across both offices at Tatura and Mildura.
• Comply with all applicable health and safety and environmental laws, regulations and statutory obligations at all times.
• Manage and report on problems or areas for improvement through the observation procedure and or the hazard reporting system.
• Perform and assist with checking data for accuracy, correct interpretation and completeness.
• Perform and assist with providing environmental compliance activities.
• Responding to client tendering documentation with support of the business.
• Liaising with clients and assisting in seeking new works.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Diploma of Business Management or similar.
• Experienced in Water Operations or environmental fields is desirable.
• Additional studies in the science or environment field is desirable. 
• A background in environmental monitoring experience is preferred.
• Sound management skills, including HR management, negotiating and planning & resourcing capabilities.
• Ability to write and review reports including undertaking data analysis and quality assurance.
• First aid certificate.
• Time management, planning and organisational skills.
• Leadership, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
