Safety Advisor - FIFO

About the role: 
Looking to take your career to the next level? Look no further than Ventia's Rig and Well Services contract, which is seeking a Safety (SHEQ) Advisor to join our expanding team.  At Ventia, we put the safety and health of our people, our clients and our communities above all else. It is a fundamental guiding principle for everything we do. Based in Toowoomba and working closely with our Oil and Gas division, you will play a pivotal role in assisting/ mentoring the onsite crew with the implementation of our health and safety management system. We're looking for a professional with a passion for promoting safe and healthy working practices, and a keen eye for detail when it comes to identifying potential hazards and mitigating risk. Your duties will include onsite assurance activities as well as detailed incident investigations and providing expert guidance to help ensure that our crew is always working to the highest safety standards. In this role, you will get to enjoy a great work-life balance with our even-time 2 week on, 2 weeks off roster. (15:13 roster) 

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• We are open to all backgrounds – we are looking for individuals with a passion for Safety. 
• Minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety 
• Previous experience as a health and safety advisor (Preferable) 
• Qualifications and experience in conducting and leading incident investigations –ICAM 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of safety risks and control processes
