Experienced PLANNER required to join our Infrastructure Services – Energy team in Townsville in a full-time position. As the Planner you will manage work priority, develop job plans and define parts, materials, crafts and skills to develop the work control plan.

About the Role
The role focusses on proactively optimizing workforce productivity and minimising downtime ensuring maximum productivity through sound planning, scheduling and effectively executing all work control processes. You will prioritise, plan, schedule and report on the accuracy of the job plan for all planned work.
As the Planner you will support Estimators with resource planning and utilisation during tendering processes and be the principal contact liaison between workforce supervisors, delivery managers and estimators.
You will also be responsible to review work requests for accuracy, clarity and best way to accomplish the work (scope, completion dates, lead times, equipment identification etc.); escalate issues that don’t appear to be valid / profitable; obtain and organise information for crafts to perform the work (drawings, materials, special procedures, vendor manual etc.) and determine and identify vendor delivered service for work order.

Required Skills and Experience
- Mechanical / electrical background desirable
- Strong craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labour hours, materials and skills required to complete jobs
- High attention to detail with solid mathematical skills
- Ability to sketch / redline existing drawings
- Sound understanding of maintenance processes, work order systems, planning and scheduling, and storeroom processes
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
