Ventia has been awarded a new four-year contract by Seqwater to deliver preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance along with electrical, mechanical and instrumentational services across its water network. Ventia will provide services across 35 water treatment plants, 95 pump stations and 26 referable dams.

As a key member of the leadership team, this role will enhance financial performance for the contract by; partnering with operational stakeholders to drive efficient day-to-day processes, providing management with sound data and analysis to facilitate decision-making, and performing routine budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including the program director, operational leaders and client representatives, in the successful delivery of project outcomes.
  • Monitor and optimise performance against targets, including revenue, EBITDA, net working capital and operating cash flow.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting of actuals against forecast and budget; including clear and concise variance analysis and reporting of risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare budgeting and forecasting requirements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow), with a focus on alignment with operational targets and strategies and expected operational outcomes.
  • Prepare analysis and reporting to meet internal and client financial reporting requirements and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with client contacts to resolve queries and complete deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the completion of end-to-end processes, including purchase to pay, order to cash, recruit to onboard, and payroll.
  • Lead and develop direct reports, including overseeing workload, cross-training for role coverage, skills development, and performing regular performance reviews.  

 


About You

To be successful in the role of Finance Manager, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Proven experience within a project accounting environment, experience with high-volume projects favourable
  • Demonstrated ability to develop excellent working relationships with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage with senior client personnel, management and all levels of the project delivery team
  • SAP experience required & Power BI skills highly favourable
