About the Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this Workshop Coordinator role will suit someone who has solid and proven experience ideally in the workshop industry in New Zealand. You will provide support to all team members ensuring works are completed in accordance with contract requirements while maintaining safety, quality, budget, and timeframes. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Managing and working on the Repairs and Servicing of Plants and Equipment with the workshop mechanics and operators
  • Planning the servicing, condition assessment, repairs and preventative maintenance to the highest standards to ensure plant is repaired as quickly as possible to limit downtime of plant
  • Ensuring plant and equipment is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose 
  • Arranging outsourced jobs if required and strictly monitor progress
  • Ensuring workshop documentation is accurately recording, including the recording of costs of all consumable items, oils, parts and vehicle mileage
  • Ensuring that the service sheets, CoF check sheets, invoices or any other relevant documents are checked and signed off within agreed timeframes
     

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have solid experience in Workshop works or Mechanical construction projects. Proven skills with the ability to plan ahead and problem solve will be key to your success in this role. You will also need to be a team player; self-motivated; and have a flexible and proactive approach in handling client needs; as well as the below:

  • Full Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence
  • A minimum of 5 years- experience in a yard/workshop administration role
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Trade qualified in Heavy Automotive or equivalent an advantage
  • Knowledge in the construction or earthmoving industries
  • Experience in a front-line leadership role
