In partnership with the Australia Defence Force, we are seeking a Chef to join us on a Full-Time basis at Simpson Barracks defence base at Yallambie, Northeast suburbs of Melbourne.
Reporting to the Head Chef, this full time position will require you to have the flexibility to work across a Monday to Sunday roster between 5:30am – 7:30pm, working 5 days a week, including the weekend.

Chef duties may include:

  • Operating large-volume cooking equipment
  • Managing corporate functions
  • Cost/budget management
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  • Being flexible and helping the whole team


Skills and Experience:

  • Commercial Cookery Certificate III, or above (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a large commercial kitchen
  • Ability to work well both within a team and on own initiative
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands to meet needs, especially at busy times
  • Able to think on feet and act quickly upon instruction
  • Great attitude towards work and a wanting to learn the role and environment quickly
