Transmission Site Supervisor

The Role:

Ventia are currently looking to engage a qualified and experienced Site Supervisor to work collaboratively with the Construction Manager in planning and executing transmission line maintenance and construction projects. Responsibilities include on-site management, leading the teams in day-to-day delegation of works and ensuring safety and quality. 
This is a permanent fulltime position working an 11:3 roster within our energy, Water & Renewables division in the South Australian Power team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to develop and execute transmission line maintenance and construction plans/programs.
• Oversee and coordinate on-site activities to ensure adherence to project specifications and program timelines.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, SWMS, CLA, Work Method to our CRP.
• Monitor and maintain high-quality standards in construction activities.
• Promptly report any on-site issues or challenges to the Construction Manager for swift resolution and support in the implementation of the solutions.
• Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.
• Address and resolve challenges that may arise during day-to-day tasks collaborating with the construction manager.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including daily reports, inspections, and approvals.
• Document any changes to the original plans or specifications.
• Serve as a liaison between the Project Team and construction teams, ensuring clear communication.
• Conduct 1 monthly Critical Control Check to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work towards efficient project completion by optimising processes and workflows
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors on-site, ensuring their adherence to project requirements and timelines.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Certificate 3 in Transmissions essential
• Ability to successfully liaise with a range of stakeholders and respond to specific deadlines
• Strong supervision experience overseeing both internal technicians and sub-contractors
