Associate Engineer

Ventia is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA). 

The Entry-Level Engineer will support various engineering projects and activities across different engineering disciplines, working closely with senior engineers to gain practical experience, apply theoretical knowledge, and develop technical skills. They will actively participate in project and maintenance planning, design, implementation, and testing, while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards. This role will see you located in Adelaide (Metro) in a permanent fulltime position. 

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to

• Assist in ensuring maintenance plans and activities comply with legislative and regulatory standards.  
• Provide technical guidance on maintenance strategies, asset management, and operational improvements.  
• Support the collection, validation, and management of asset and maintenance data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.  
• Maintain and update Technical Data Sheets (TDSs), maintenance instructions, and regulatory records while contributing to performance reports.  
• Assist in planning and supporting projects to achieve on-time delivery, quality standards, and operational goals.  
• Conduct site visits to assess equipment performance, recommend efficiency improvements, and support best practices.  
• Assist in ensuring maintenance activities align with budget constraints and cost-effectiveness.  

Key Skills and Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline) or a related field.
• Strong academic performance with a demonstrated interest in engineering.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering software and tools.
• Up to 12 months relevant engineering experience, including internships, graduate and co-op programs, or research projects.
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles and concepts to real-world problems.
• Experience working in a team environment and contributing to project success.

Ventia has been awarded the Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) for the Government of South Australia. On behalf of more than 47 government agencies across South Australia, the Arrangement covers asset management for over 4,500 government-owned facilities such as schools, hospitals, and police stations.
