Our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract is seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Engineer to join our Civil Maintenance team on a permanent full-time basis. Based in Arndell Park, this exciting role will have you managing a high-profile portfolio of improvement projects, ensuring their success at every stage of the project lifecycle. From planning and approvals to delivery readiness, utility coordination, construction, and final handover—this role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead impactful projects while making a tangible difference. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive project milestones to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Develop and maintain detailed construction programs, including short-term lookahead programs, for efficient team communication and coordination.
  • Oversee construction staging and methodologies, ensuring precision and compliance.
  • Track project costs, maintain budget forecasts, and manage financial performance.
  • Prepare and manage contractual claims, including variations, delays, and EOTs.
  • Enforce quality assurance standards to meet client specifications, including ITPs, checklists, and records.
  • Engage in regular meetings with clients and the project team to align on objectives and progress.
  • Collaborate with team members across different streams to drive optimal project outcomes.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

 

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in project delivery and stakeholder management.
  • Operational mindset with a solid understanding of project complexities.
  • Strong communication skills with proven client-facing experience.
  • Experience working with TfNSW contracts and specifications is highly regarded.
  • Prior experience in Road and Transport construction is a significant advantage.
  • Must hold a White Card and a Driver’s License.
