Project Engineer - Pavements

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of an ongoing series of pavement improvement projects under our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract. This position will ensure projects align with program goals, budget constraints, and client expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
• Develop and update detailed construction programs, including creating short-term look-ahead plans for team communication and distribution.
• Design and implement construction staging and methodologies.
• Track project costs, monitor against the budget, and provide monthly cost forecasts.
• Identify, prepare, and assist in managing contractual claims, including variations, EOTs, delays, and more.
• Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure projects meet client specifications, including ITPs, checklists, and necessary records.

Could you be our next Project Engineer?

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and Project Management are advantageous.
• Experience in road maintenance, particularly pavements, is essential.
• Strong understanding of pavement types, standard surfacing, and asphalting practices.
• Familiarity with the Road Management Act, Road Management Plan, and inspection processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• A valid C-class driver’s license.
• General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
