HFC Field Technician

Ventia is seeking 2 skilled and experienced HFC Technicians to join our team in Brisbane. You must have a strong  background in HFC networks, particularly with providers like Optus, Telstra or NBN. The role involves installing, terminating and testing HFC cables, diagnosing and resolving network problems and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test HFC cables
• Diagnose and resolve network issues effectively
• Working on the broader HFC network infrastructure
• Communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals
• Adhere to safety regulations and protocols

Required Skills and Experience

• Solid experience in HFC networks and proficiency in HFC technology
• Valid driver’s licence (MR preferred)
• Construction white card
• 18A NBN Enable skill
• Utilising and interpreting test results (ONX 630)
• First aid
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Awareness and adherence to safety regulations
• Computer skills including the ability to use relevant applications (UNA, Atlas and Xpert track)
• Aerial accreditation (highly desirable)
• EWP licence (preferred)
• Traffic management certification (preferred)
