We’re building a brand-new team in Canberra, ACT, and we're seeking a driven leader to oversee the forecasting, planning, management, and reporting of the current and future Program of Works—along with its associated budget and costs.
In this key position, you’ll support the team to deliver all project works efficiently and on schedule, helping to ensure both operational excellence and strong financial performance across the board.

Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor Engineers, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, excellence, and improvement.
- Plan and forecast construction activities with the Area Supervisor; maintain project plans and schedules.
- Manage and reconcile BOQs; support final contract sum reconciliation.
- Collaborate on and revise project schedules, including subcontractor inputs, for client approval.
- Ensure timely approval of traffic management plans and access notices.
- Review and raise construction variations; align BOQs, CWPs, and reports.
- Ensure timely delivery of completion documents; track CARs, defects, and field issue trends.
- Manage construction changes; participate in Lessons Learnt and Innovation workshops.
- Coordinate BOQ stock ordering to meet schedules.
- Assess variation impacts on cost/schedule; submit to Contract Administrator.
- Partner with Finance and Construction Managers to prepare monthly forecasts with risk/contingency.
- Review KPIs and lead indicators; propose improvement strategies.
About You:
- Hold a Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working on NBN projects.
- Possessing formal Project Management qualifications is desirable (e.g., PMBOK, PMP, PRINCE2).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a solid understanding of project delivery.
- Sound knowledge of cost management and financial principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial management.
