Confluence Water, a Ventia, Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney - rain, hail or shine. We are often the first to reach an emergency during severe weather events and we are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works over the next 10 years.

 

Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire. 

We are looking for an Instrumentation Electrician on a permanent full-time basis to join our high performing and progressive Water Treatment Team. Performing scheduled and reactive maintenance of Sydney Water Assets across the North region as described above. This includes installing, inspecting and repairing of Electrical assets and systems across various sites/locations.

 

This is a permanent role in a Tier 1 company, offering long-term job security, varied and interesting project work, and the opportunity to add experience in the water industry to your skillset.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Qualified Electrical Trade / Licenced Electrician with a minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • An ability to multitask together with significant hands-on experience in an operational Electrical environment, including ability to diagnose problems, determine and facilitate effective solutions.
  • Proven knowledge of legislative requirements that apply to the operation of Electrical facilities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of planned maintenance principles and continuous improvement concepts with flexibility and adaptability to changes in the workplace.
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software necessary to support the position.
  • Basic understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Basic control system and PLC knowledge
  • Instrumentation qualification/experience (desirable)
  • LV rescue and perform first aid Qualification (desirable)
  • Current drivers’ licence and Current Construction industry White card
  • Effectively and collaboratively undertake electrical activities and complete the works to comply with client’s specifications.
  • Proactively comply with quality safety, environmental, technical procedures, work instructions, relevant standards and practices.
