Confluence Water, a Ventia, Downer and Jacobs Joint Venture, is one of three Regional Delivery Partnerships providing services for Sydney Water. We work hard to ensure that Sydney Water keeps running for people who live in the North Region of Sydney - rain, hail or shine. We are often the first to reach an emergency during severe weather events and we are responsible for the delivery of an unprecedented pipeline of capital works across the life of our ten year contract.
Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.
We’re looking for a confident and experienced Maintenance and Minor Works Superintendent to lead a team of Site Supervisors responsible for delivering operational maintenance, Major periodic maintenance, Facilities management and minor works across critical operational and facilities assets.
As a key leadership role in our Maintenance and Minor Works Program, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day maintenance execution—driving site safety, quality, productivity, and integration with capital works and operations teams.
About the Role
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team of Supervisors.
- Provide oversight of trade engagement and performance across all hubs, ensuring consistency in work standards, behaviours, and integration with supervisor-led delivery.
- Be accountable for safe, high-quality execution of all maintenance and minor works activities
- Drive integration between maintenance delivery, minor projects, and operations teams.
- Act as a key point of escalation for subcontractor and delivery issues.
- Monitor and support delivery against the approved maintenance budget and program
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, environment, quality and operational performance.
- Support KPI achievement
What You’ll Bring
- Trade or engineering background in mechanical or electrical fields.
- Demonstrated field leadership experience in utilities or essential infrastructure
- Strong people leadership and performance coaching skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews and sites under operational constraints.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving ability.
- Valid Class C driver’s licence and White Card.
