Senior Project Manager

About the role
Ventia have a newly created role for a Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in healthcare sector to join our Projects & Workplace Solutions team in Victoria.

This role will be based primarily at one of our key sites in Melbourne’s northeastern suburbs, where Ventia provides day-to-day facilities management services. The successful candidate will act as the interface, ensuring seamless coordination and delivery of healthcare infrastructure projects.

Beyond this initial project the role will also see you managing a variety of construction projects across Government and Defence property portfolios including refurbishments and capital upgrade works as well as leading and mentoring junior team members.

This is a full-time role based onsite 4 days a week with one day a week at our head office in Cremorne. .

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Formulating project management plans addressing Scope, Safety and Quality outcomes.
• Develop and Manage Procurement, Risk, Budget, and Scope.
• Manage construction documents for completeness and ensuring correct approval process is followed.
• Ensure contractor compliance.
• Receive, assess, and coordinate responses to all requests
• Ensure responses contain sufficient detail to meet Austin Health’s requirements
• Track the status of requests through to completion
• Provide regular updates on approved works and costings
• Team management and leadership.
• Involved in the business development for ongoing works

About You

To be successful you will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in construction working within large and complex projects.

You will also possess:

• Relevant qualifications in Project Management
• Specific experience in healthcare sector including examples of hospital capital works projects
• Experience in a client side or consultancy project management role
• Strong time management and solid organisation skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Project and suite.
• Prince2 Certification. (desirable) 
• Well-developed client facing and stakeholder communications skills.

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
