A great opportunity for a Senior Store person to join our high-performing team supporting the JLUS contract at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia 5111.


As a Senior Store person, you’ll play a key role in managing inventory, tools, and equipment to ensure fleet assets are maintained, compliant, and ready for deployment. You’ll work closely with technicians and Commonwealth staff to support maintenance operations and drive continuous improvement.

About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for:

  • Goods Handling: Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials, tools and equipment in line with purchase orders.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate stock records, log movements, and report on stock variances, surplus or shortages.
  • Compliance & Audits: Conduct and manage contractual Commonwealth stocktaking programmes, reconcile discrepancies and escalate issues such as theft or loss.
  • Tool & Equipment Management: Track, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment, coordinating repairs and ensuring readiness.
  • Safety & Risk Oversight: Ensure safe handling of hazardous goods, maintain safety records, and support emergency preparedness.
  • Collaboration & Improvement: Work with technicians and Commonwealth staff to source parts and contribute to process improvements and training updates.

 

About You

  • Previous experience managing warehousing, stores, inventory management systems and small teams of employees across multiple sites.
  • Valid forklift and driver’s licences. (MR/HR and High-Risk Work licences desirable).
  • Proficient in SAP inventory systems, with strong record-keeping skills (essential).
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing training, professional development and continuous improvement.

 

Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.
