Jetty Repair Technician

The Role
Ventia are looking for a skilled and versatile Fabricator to join our team at Hillarys Boat Harbor working on the Department of Transport contract. Reporting the Site Supervisor, this role will involve a variety of tasks, including maintenance, floating jetty repairs, and general support across the business. You will work alongside a collaborative team, contributing to projects ranging from local repairs to state-wide assignments.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 8-hour days with 1x RDO per month.

The pay rate for this position is $48.20 per hour.

Key duties, but not limited to:

• Fabricating & maintaining aluminium & steel structures
• Repairing floating & fixed jetties across WA, ranging from Port Hedland to Esperance
• Assisting with groundskeeping & general maintenance tasks
• Supporting a variety of business functions as needed
• Working away from home when required for state-wide travel

Requirements: 

• WA Drivers Licence
• Experience with or strong knowledge of welding
• Strong mechanical background & problem-solving ability
• Proficient with the MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Feel confident working on & around water
• Prior experience in trades or industry-related roles (fabrication, welding, or similar)
