EOI ITS - Construction, Project Managers, Engineers, Field staff

About The Roles
Ventia are seeking expressions of interest for Construction Managers, Site /  Project Engineers, Project Managers, Field Managers and Foreman for Transport / Roads projects based out of Laverton North for a March / April 2025 start.
 

The primary purpose of these roles are to support the project and staff by managing tasks and working with stakeholders to deliver contract scope and deliverables on time and budget.
 

You will have excellent general troubleshooting and technical skills across a wide range of technologies (including but not limited to ITS technologies) and will be required to learn new technologies and protocols quickly to be able to provide stakeholders with the latest solutions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Contribute to the delivery of the project on time and within budget by continuously oversee work, analyse production methods and production performance against schedule.
• Monitoring performance and re-assessing efficiency and quality, taking appropriate correct action where necessary.
• Contracts administration i.e. developing and implementing sub-contracts/supplier agreements.
• Assessing activities, ensuring a balance between cost and production to meet objectives and time constrictions, and understanding contractual obligations of the company and subcontractors.
• Planning and scheduling own and team’s work to meet required timelines and outputs through prioritising activities against daily program and liaison with appropriate project staff.
• Understanding daily work program and directing / allocating staff and contractors as appropriate and ensuring appropriate and necessary equipment is available to enable objectives to be met.
• Analysing tasks and selecting appropriate resources in conjunction with the Project.
• Development of quality documentation.
• Communicating the requirements around work practices, standards, ITP’s and expectations to team members.
• Continuously seeking methods to improve and streamline operations, and monitoring quality output of work team and taking appropriate corrective action where necessary.
• Ensure relevant stakeholders’ requirements are met by building and maintaining productive internal and external communications and reporting.

About You
We are seeking people as mentioned above with qualifications in Engineering and experience working within the Roads Transport sector ideally with a strong knowledge in ITS.
 

You will also possess:

• Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) experience is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in safety, contract management, scheduling and planning etc
• Experience in financial and project management
• Experience in subcontractor and client management 
• Knowledge of Project management tools (advantageous)
