Industrial Cleaner

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Cleaner to manage the housekeeping in critical operational areas of the plant, whilst ensuring rotating equipment remains in a cleanly state to enhance asset life preservation within the Coal and Ash Handling plant at Millmerran Power Station.

This is a permanent, full time position working Tuesday to Friday, 6am – 4.30pm with an hourly rate of $33.51.
 

Key Responsibilities include

• Manual Handling activities such as shovelling, sweeping, dusting, hosing.
• Cleaning of dirt and coal dust off plant equipment
• Reporting defects and areas requiring urgent attention before acting to clean.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and providing innovative ideas to improve efficiency and housekeeping standards.
• Working safely to uphold Ventia's strong commitment to OHS

About you

• Minimum of one year previous cleaning experience over Full-time hours.
• A commitment to OH&S practices
• Moderate verbal and written communication skills
• Current drivers licence and your own transport to attend site each day
• Working at heights and confined space training preferable but not essential
• Ability to pass a pre-employment funcution medical assessment & Coal Respirator Fit Test
